The second plenary meeting of AROMA3D-Earth (NextGenerationEU [UNICO-5G I+D/AROMA3D-EARTH (TSI-063000-2021-69)) was held last Wednesday, October, 2nd, at the Centre Tecnològic de Telecomunicacions de Catalunya (CTTC). The partners have the opportunity to discuss the latest advances in the consortium (CTTC, Celestia-TTI, Fivecomm) for:
* Exploring the wireless communications in the near-field (XL-MIMO) with multiple polarizations,
* Challenges to build antenna panels with 3 polarizations,
* Benefits of using machine learning (ML) :
- To adjust the power level in the UL of cell-free based system
- Beamforming design for rate splitting multiple access system
* Exploring possible protocols for IoT with the objective of coordinating the transmissions of different IoT devices for an efficient use of resources.
Nearby computing (NBC), one of AROMA3D partners, showed their work in AROMA3D in their stand in the last Mobile World Congress (MWC) held in Barcelona in the period between February 26th to 29th, 2024.
AROMA3D was presented at the TELECO RENTA stand during the latest Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, held from February 26th to 29th, 2024. Garnering substantial attention, the stand attracted numerous visitors, offering an opportunity to showcase the innovative project to a diverse audience of researchers and interested companies. The concept behind AROMA3D was effectively introduced, sparking engaging discussions and fostering potential collaborations within the industry.
On 15th of November'23, AROMA3D project was presented at Valencia 5G days in a dedicated session that discussed the results pf the UNICO21. AROMA3D was presented by Dr. Musbah Shaat and Dr. Adrian Agustin. The conference presented a great opportunity to share AROMA3D views on the future beyond 5G and 6G networks.
On October 24th and 26th, the research team from CTTC involved AROMA3D-EARTH (NextGenerationEU [UNICO-5G I+D/AROMA3D-EARTH (TSI-063000-2021-69)]) visited the premises of TTINorte (Santander) and Fivecomm (Valencia), respectively. Those meetings allowed to review the ongoing work in the project and explore collaborations on the different research activities. Furthermore, discussions on the final proof-of-concepts were initiated.
